Think about the clock!
There are three different options for follow up tasks to the treasure hunt from Monday.
These tasks are all about looking at the clock and reading what time they say or converting time between analogue or digital clocks.
These tasks are in the pink trays and need to be glued into your Everyday Maths Book.

For this thinking task you are to spend some time learning about time. You need to go through the resources on this page to teach yourself some facts about time.
In your Everyday Math book you need to create a ALL ABOUT TIME fact page to record what you have learnt. You can write the facts down or draw them.
On Friday there will be a Kahoot for anyone who has completed the page CORRECTLY - this is your criteria:
You must show your work before you can do the KAHOOT.

Make a Clock
What do you need?
How to make your clock:
- Paper Plates
- Split Pins
- Pens or crayons
- Scissors
- Coloured paper/ card
- Ruler
How to make your clock:
- Use your pen and ruler to divide your clock into quarters (four even sections)
- Write the 12 at the top of the paper plate and the 6 at the bottom
- Then, write the 3 at the point on the right, and the 9 at the point on the left (see picture)
- We then need to put our numbers in between, starting with the 1 next to the 12.
- See picture for where to put the rest of our numbers - make sure they are evenly spaced!
- Now it is time to make our minutes and seconds hands. Cut out one long arrow and one short arrow (you will need to draw this before cutting!)
- Put your short arrow on top of your long arrow and push your split pin through the two arrows at the non-pointy end
- Push your pin with the arrows into the middle of the clock
Extra for Experts - Write hour on the long arrow and minute on the short arrow
- Write half past above the 6
- Write quarter past next to the 3
- Write quarter to next to the 9
- Write O’clock under the 12
